MANILA, Philippines—The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will request an Interpol Red Notice against Batangas 1st. District Rep. Leandro Leviste, who is reportedly in Germany, after an arrest warrant was issued against him.

“Apply-an na namin sa Philippine Center on Transnational Crimes para makakuha ng Red Notice,” Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said in an ambush interview on Wednesday.

Remulla also said that Leviste may be in Germany.

Earlier, the Makati City Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant against Leviste over an alleged violation of the Public Service Act.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) also confirmed the warrant on Wednesday morning and released a copy of the document to reporters.
