Before tying the knot with Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian was simply bound to explore her single era.
Indeed, while chatting with stepson Landon Barker and his pal Carl Dawson during the Oct. 22 episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney joked that they should "wait” until they’re get married before hooking up with anyone.
But after a producer cheekily asked whether she and Travis—who tied the knot in 2022—followed that same advice, it led to Kourtney running away with a revelation about what Kim Kardashian’s ex Kanye “Ye” West once told her.
"No, but I remember Kanye told me, 'I feel like God is calling me to tell you that you should not hook up with any randoms,” the Lemme founder—who shares kids Mason Disick, 16, Penelope Disick, 14, and Reign Disick, 11, with ex Scott Disick and son Rocky Barker, 2, with Travis—admitted, “‘until you are with your husband.' And I didn't."

After all, Kourtney has been clear over the years about how when her bond with Travis grew into more than being just friends, it was far from a small thing.
"We would almost, like, play house because we would do things together with our kids,” she explained of their closeness during a 2022 episode of The Kardashians. “We would go to museums and go to church.”
But she wasn’t the only one who was clearly feeling this.
"My closest, best friends have always said, 'You have to hook up with Travis,’’ she recalled at the time, adding, “I was definitely always attracted to Travis. I think it was just the right time in my life.”
And that period of her personal life led to her to follow her heart one more time. "We were texting and I put it out there,” she noted, “like flirtatious conversation.”

And after their first date—where Kourtney was the one to make the first move—their romance became what life is truly about.
"The second we fell in love,” she shared at the time, “we knew how different it was than anything either of us have had before.”
