Resident Evil collected Rs. 1.25 crore on its Day 6 (Wednesday), registering a 35 per cent drop from the previous day. The movie took its 6-day theatrical cume to Rs. 16.20 crore nett at the Indian box office. The horror thriller is heading to close its opening week around Rs. 18 crore or so.
The movie garnered positive word-of-mouth among the audience, which is why it is gaining good traction at the box office. It is likely to keep gaining good momentum in the coming weeks too and close its theatrical run on a good note.
Hollywood movies are performing great this year in India. Resident Evil is expected to be the next successful venture.
