TOKONAME, Japan, Sept. 23 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Park Ji-hee won the silver medal in the women's foil individual event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Wednesday.
Park lost to Yuka Ueno of Japan 15-4 in the final at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, some 35 kilometers south of the main host city of Nagoya.
She reached the podium at her first Asian Games appearance.
Bronze medals went to Polina Volobueva of Uzbekistan and Maxine Jie Xin Wong of Singapore.

Park was scoreless in the first period, falling 8-0 to Ueno.
Her first point came midway through the second period, when she trailed 12-1. Park scored three more points but could not complete a comeback.
Park became the first South Korean fencer to reach the Asian Games final in the women's individual foil in eight years, since Jeon Hee-sook did so in 2018.
She will compete in the team event scheduled for Saturday, seeking the first gold medal for South Korea since the 2014 Asian Games.
"The women's foil is a bit less strong compared with the men's sabre and the women's epee," she said. "Based on today's result, I'll do my best in the team event and help the women's foil make its presence felt."
