With Chris Brown and Usher’s R&B Tour continuing to fill North American stadiums, Live Nation announced an eight-show extension for the trek on Monday (Aug. 17).
“You all are STILL not playing about The R&B Tour! The love has been unreal, so we’re keeping it going and adding MORE DATES,” Usher wrote on Instagram. “The fans have made this tour what it is. We see you. Let’s keep making it BIGGER!”
The R&B Tour will return to East Rutherford, N.J. (Oct. 15) and Miami (Dec. 6) for a third show, and will spin the block for a fourth date in Atlanta (Nov. 5) and a fifth in Los Angeles (Nov. 16).
The pair is also slated to take their talents to a few new markets, with shows on tap in Baltimore, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Columbia, S.C.
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster starting on Wednesday (Aug. 19) at 10 a.m. local time, and the general public will have their chance on Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. local time.
The R&B titans kicked off the joint trek in June with the tour now set to run for 59 shows. C Breezy and Usher are slated to return to the stage on Monday (Aug. 17) for a concert in Foxborough, Mass., before heading to Chicago (Aug. 21-22) and San Francisco (Aug. 28-29, Sept. 1) to round out August. The R&B Tour will wrap up in Tampa Bay, Fla., with a pair of shows at Raymond James Stadium on Dec. 11-12.
It’s been a star-studded run for Usher and Brown, who have brought out plenty of guests along the way, including Future, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Ashanti and Method Man.
Ahead of hitting the road, Chris Brown released his Brown album in May, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 65,000 total album-equivalent units earned.
