Tiffany Stratton showed up with the Money in the Bank briefcase and a referee, and she still couldn't cash in on Women's World Champion Liv Morgan to close WWE RAW on October 26. Dominik Mysterio stepped in first. The main event went sideways after Becky Lynch's title challenge ended in a disqualification, with Judgment Day interfering and Chelsea Green getting involved. The show in Fresno, California, also featured Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Je'Von Evans, Bayley facing Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match, and IYO SKY taking on Raquel Rodriguez. And WWE confirmed John Cena's return to RAW for next week.
Liv Morgan survives Becky Lynch's title challenge as Dominik Mysterio stops Tiffany Stratton's MITB cash-in
The main event changed before the bell. Lynch was booked against Stephanie Vaquer for a No. 1 contender spot, but Adam Pearce opened the show by announcing that Vaquer was not medically cleared. So Lynch got a Women's World Championship match against Morgan instead, who had won the title at Money in the Bank earlier this month.
It ran just over 18 minutes. Lynch hit the Manhandle Slam and was covering Morgan when Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of Judgment Day jumped her, and the referee called it a disqualification. Morgan kept the title because of that, since a title can't change hands on a DQ. Chelsea Green then came out to help Lynch and laid out Morgan, which opened the door for Stratton.
She ran down with the briefcase and the referee, hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and got ready to cash in. A cash-in only becomes official once the referee calls for bell, and that never happened because Mysterio pulled Morgan out of the ring. It was Stratton's second attempt at Morgan, and she stared down Judgment Day as the show wrapped.
Sami Zayn retains the Undisputed WWE Championship after Je'Von Evans misses his title opportunity
Evans got this match by walking into an opening confrontation between Zayn and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. He wasn't at full strength either, because on the October 12 RAW, Bron Breakker speared him on his broken ribs. Evans got his shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship, but he couldn't close it out.
A fight between Breakker and Penta at ringside pulled his attention away, and Zayn took advantage with the Helluva Kick to keep his title. Breakker and Bronson Reed then attacked Evans and Penta once the match was over.
Bayley defeats Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria had been going at it for a while, and this was where they settled it, with weapons legal and neither one holding back. In a No Disqualification match, pinfalls and submissions count anywhere and nobody gets thrown out for using a weapon. Bayley grabbed a kendo stick and used it while applying a crossface, and Valkyria tapped out.
IYO SKY pins Raquel Rodriguez before Roxanne Perez attacks her
SKY and Rodriguez met in a non-title singles match. Rodriguez had a chance to end it with the Tejana Bomb, but SKY countered into a small package and got the pinfall. It didn't stay quiet for long though. Perez, who was also involved in the main event attack on Lynch, went after SKY following the match, and nothing got resolved there.
Big Cass and Ethan Page defeat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee in tag-team action
Big Cass and Ethan Page picked up a win over Dragon Lee and Chad Gable. Cass hit a big boot on Lee, then Page finished it with the Ego Plex.
