EastEnders star Ronni Ancona lands next TV role after leaving soap

Ronni Ancona has landed her first role since leaving EastEnders earlier this year. The comedian and impressionist has joined the cast of BBC series Things You Should Have Done for its third season.
Filming has begun on season three of the comedy in Ramsgate, with creator and writer Lucia Keskin back as 'stay at home daughter' Chi.
The series follows the hapless Chi after her parents die and she's left with a list of 'Things You Should Have Done'.

Returning for the third season alongside Keskin are Dan Fearn as Dave, Jamie Bisping as Chi's step-cousin Lucas and Bridget Christie as her unhinged grief therapist Ruth.
The synopsis for season three reads: "Following a brush with the law, Chi’s life takes a series of dramatic turns and a hilarious journey of self-discovery.
"Meanwhile, loyal Lucas remains by her side, continuing to do the wrong things for the right reasons; Dave becomes preoccupied with the legacy he’ll leave behind; and Ruth is forced to turn her therapeutic expertise inwards when her own life is thrown into turmoil."
Ancona starred as Bea Pollard in EastEnders earlier this year, with the character departing in July after kidnapping Honey Mitchell and holding her hostage at a remote cottage in Kent.

Speaking about her chaotic character during an appearance on This Morning in June, Ancona said: "It was a real privilege that I was asked to do it.
"They wanted to bring some dark humour, sort of malevolence but make it a bit funny. And actually, they'd said to me, 'It'll be perfect for you, Ronni. It's a really annoying, deranged, disturbed character. It's perfect for you.' And I'm like, [flatly] 'Yayyy.'"
Things You Should Have Done is available on BBC iPlayer. EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
