Veteran actor Nana Patekar died at the age of 75 due to a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa. Several celebrities from across the film industry have shared emotional tributes to the actor.
Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan remembered Nana for his powerful performances and the impact he had on Indian cinema. South India’s Megastar Chiranjeevi also expressed his grief over Nana Patekar’s passing and remembered his powerful screen presence.
Hrithik Roshan remembers Nana Patekar
Hrithik Roshan took to his X handle and wrote, “Rest in peace, dear Nana Sir. Thank you for giving us such authentic and entertaining cinema. Your hard-hitting performances, effortless comic timing and unforgettable characters will always be an inspiration.”He also recalled watching Nana’s performances while growing up and called them a masterclass.“Watching your genius onscreen while growing up was a masterclass. My condolences to the Patekar family and friends. Om Shanti,” he added.
Chiranjeevi pays tribute to Nana Patekar
Megastar Chiranjeevi also expressed his grief writing “Deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary #NanaPatekar. An extraordinary actor with a powerful screen presence and artistic journey uniquely his own that left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.”
He also wrote about Nana’s work beyond cinema, particularly his efforts to support farmers and people in need through his foundation. “Beyond the screen, his compassion for farmers and his service through his Foundation reflected his commitment to helping those in need. His legacy of art and humanity will always be remembered,” added the ‘Godfather’ actor.
Telugu star and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan also wrote “The passing of legendary Indian actor, National Award-winning artiste, and Padma Shri awardee Sri Nana Patekar Ji, is deeply painful.
Over four decades, he brought extraordinary depth and authenticity to every role, from comedy to emotional, and from intense drama to the finest shades of human emotion, leaving an indelible mark on Indian cinema.

Telugu actor Manchu Manoj also shared an emotional message for Nana Patekar. He described him as a powerhouse of talent and an inspiration to generations of actors.Manoj wrote, “Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Nana Patekar ji. A true legend, a powerhouse of talent and an inspiration to generations of actors.”
He further remembered Nana’s performances, voice and honesty as an actor.“His performances, his voice and the honesty he brought to every character will stay with us forever.

Nana Patekar’s lasting legacy
Nana Patekar’s death has left the Indian film industry mourning the loss of one of its most respected performers. His work across films such as ‘Krantiveer’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Parinda’, ‘Ab Tak Chhappan’ and ‘Welcome’ earned him a special place in Indian cinema.Speaking of his latest releases, Nana Patekar was seen in playing a police officer in Vishal Bhardwaj’s 2026 film ‘O’ Romeo’, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, and appeared in a cameo role in ‘Subedar’ with Anil Kapoor and Radhika Madan.Before his passing, the veteran actor also played a role in projects which are yet to be released. These include ‘Shakti Shalini’ helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Aneet Padda and Vishal Jethwa alongside Patekar. ‘Eetha’, ‘The Confession of Mary’, ‘Kuku Ki Kundali’ and ‘Vedanta’.
