"One of the must-see shows of 2027": Strictly Come Dancing favourites confirmed for brand-new show

Strictly Come Dancing may be returning tonight (19 September) with its 24th season, but stars from the long-running BBC series are teaming up for a brand-new project.

Professional dancers Aljaž Škorjanec, Carlos Gu, Gorka Marquez and Julian Caillon will all be taking part in the UK tour of Here Come the Boys, a new stage show described as a "full-throttle celebration of dance, music and entertainment".

"From ballroom brilliance and Latin fire to show-stopping contemporary numbers and high-octane group performances, the self-proclaimed rockstars of dance will push themselves – and each other – to the limit in an exhilarating evening designed to set pulses racing," reads the logline.

"Audiences across the UK can expect smouldering moves, ripped physiques and plenty of cheeky humour as the boys unleash their competitive side to battle it out on the dance floor and show everyone exactly why they've become some of the nation's hottest and best-loved dancers."

The 24-date tour will begin in Eastbourne on 1 June 2027, stopping in several cities across the UK, including London, Cardiff and Manchester. It will conclude in Brighton on 29 June 2027.

Škorjanec, who returned to Strictly in 2024 after a three-year absence, said of the new project: "I genuinely think Here Come the Boys is going to be one of the must-see shows of 2027."

"We're putting everything into making this our biggest, most exciting show yet, and I can't wait for audiences to experience what we've got planned," added the star, who will appear in the upcoming season of the BBC series.

Meanwhile, Gu shared: "We want people to come along, forget everything else for a couple of hours and have an amazing night with us. There'll be fantastic dancing, great music, plenty of fun and some real surprises along the way."

Spanish professional Marquez, who ended his decade-long stint on Strictly earlier this year, said of the exciting new venture: "It's brilliant to be sharing the stage with three of my Strictly favourites.

"We all bring something different to the show, and that mix of personalities, styles and a little friendly competition is going to make it incredibly exciting — for us and for the audience!"

"We're going all-out with this production. The music, the set, the costumes and, of course, the dance routines are going to be incredible," said Caillon, who teased that the stage show would be a "spectacular live experience".
