With Five Nights at Freddy's scaring up big money for them, Blumhouse is sticking in the video game adaptation world with Amanda the Adventurer.

As part of the Blumfest panel at New York City Comic Con 2026, at which ScreenRant's Jordan Williams was in attendance, the studio announced development on an Amanda the Adventurer movie adaptation. The film is being produced by popular former YouTuber MatPat, who has also inked a first-look deal with Blumhouse, with founder Jason Blum confirming they are currently in talks with writers and directors to helm the project. Additionally, Epic Pictures' CEO Patrick Ewald is attached as a producer on Amanda the Adventurer, which has been in the works for a year and is said to be "moving really fast."
