South Carolina star edge rusher Dylan Stewart, who was suspended indefinitely following multiple incidents during the Alabama game on Sept. 26, returned to practice on Tuesday.

Gamecocks coach Shane Beamer announced Stewart's return during a news conference but said a decision about whether he'll play vs. Florida on Saturday has not been made.

"He was at practice today," Beamer said. "His status for Saturday has not been determined. That will be determined as we go throughout the week."

Stewart, a former all-conference pick who is considered one of the most talented edge rushers in the country, punched an Alabama player and was seen arguing with coaches during the 49-18 loss in Tuscaloosa.

The SEC and South Carolina jointly announced a 1-game suspension following the incident.

He was not present for last Saturday's 35-34 loss to Kentucky.

Last month, ESPN NFL draft expert Jordan Reid projected Stewart as a top-10 pick in next year's draft.
