IDF, Shin Bet killed 16 key terrorists involved in Hamas funding networks, financial operations

The hundreds of millions of dollars in funding, according to the IDF, were used by Hamas to restore terrorist infrastructure and advance terror plots targeting Israeli troops and civilians.

The IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) have killed 16 key terrorists central to Hamas’s financial apparatus over the course of the war, disrupting a money transfer network that operated through Turkey and Gaza, the IDF announced on Friday.

According to the IDF, all of the terrorists were involved in money transfers used to fund Hamas’s operations in the Gaza Strip, totaling over one billion dollars, through a network of dozens of money changers in Turkey and Gaza.

Among the terrorists killed were Ibrahim Abu Shamala, the head financial officer of Hamas’s military wing, and Mohammed Abu Alwan, who was responsible for Hamas’s political wing funding.

Terrorists central to the fund transfer network who were responsible for the receipt of money on behalf of Hamas, including Khader Jamasi, Ihab Khraizem, and Hussein Qadra, were also killed.

IDF warns terrorists involved in Hamas financial activities will be targeted

The hundreds of millions of dollars in funding, according to the IDF, were used by Hamas to finance its terrorists, build weapons capabilities, restore terrorist infrastructure, and advance terror plots targeting Israeli troops and civilians.

The military issued a warning to all terrorists who continue to participate in Hamas’s financial activities, asserting that those who fund and facilitate terrorism are lawful targets of IDF and Shin Bet strikes aimed at dismantling Hamas.

The IDF also advised Gazan civilians that their lives are being endangered by Hamas terrorists throughout the Gaza Strip continuing to engage in financial efforts to advance and rebuild Hamas.
