K-pop Girl Group Illit on ArtBox Partnership and Meeting Fans in L.A.

Girl group Illit attended the opening for an ArtBox pop-up in Los Angeles earlier this month. The five-member group — promoting a four-member group comprising Yunah, Minju, Wonhee and Iroha — greeted fans, helped with a giveaway and posed for pictures inside the Melrose pop-up.

Illit serve as ambassadors for ArtBox, a popular Korean lifestyle brand that’s near unavoidable in Korea, with bright colored stores featuring whimsical stationery and K-lifestyle items. The L.A. pop-up marked the brand’s official entrance in the U.S. market.

“It’s been such a fun and interesting time [being at the pop-up] with the fans in L.A.” Wonhee, 19, told The Hollywood Reporter after the event.

The girl group is ArtBox’s first brand ambassador, and its members, gathered away from the adoring fans in the main pop-up store, were full of excitement over getting the chance to come to L.A. for the event. Wonhee added that it’s an honor to represent the brand and meet fans abroad.

It’s the group’s second L.A. outing of the year, having performed at KCON L.A. in August, as they continue to expand their promotions in the U.S.

The group has had a strong presence in Korea since its 2024 debut. Illit’s debut single, “Magnetic,” was a global hit and earned the group its first spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Earlier this year, Illit, along with other Hybe girl groups Le Sserafim and KATSEYE, charted with their collaboration song “Iconic By Mistake.” Their latest EP, Break Even, was released today (Oct. 26).

ArtBox plans to continue to push into the U.S. market — Southern California is the company’s first. “Los Angeles is a natural starting point for ArtBox’s U.S. journey, bringing together culture, creativity and diverse communities,” the company’s head of global business Kevin Cho said in a release. “This pop-up marks an exciting first step as we introduce ArtBox’s unique take on Korean lifestyle retail to U.S. consumers.”
