Emmerdale's Sadie King left crushed as her Caleb plan backfires - for now

Sadie King was left feeling crushed in tonight's episode of Emmerdale after her plan to seduce Caleb Miligan backfired.
In recent episodes, Sadie formed an unlikely alliance with Joe Tate, who recruited her to help him cause trouble for the Miligans.
Grief-stricken over the death of his fiancée Dawn Fletcher, Joe blames Caleb and Ruby for the role they played in her demise.
This week, Joe asked Sadie to gather evidence against Caleb and Ruby to use against them, but Sadie had a better idea, telling Joe she would wreck their marriage by seducing Caleb.

In today's episode, Ruby invited Sadie out for a drink, telling her that Caleb wanted the house to himself that evening, but Sadie said: "I'm not feeling that well. I'm going to have an early night."
As Caleb enjoyed a beer and a slice of pizza, Sadie made an excuse to come downstairs and tried to bond with him, saying she had grown up in care.
When Sadie started to cry, Caleb invited her to sit with him and have a beer, saying: "We could share some more stories."
While crying to Caleb, Sadie reached over and started to touch his knee, but Caleb jumped up, saying: "Whoa. What do you think you're doing?"
He added: "Let me make one thing very clear to you, right? I love my wife."
Still crying, Sadie told Caleb it was "just a gesture of friendship" and that she would never do anything to hurt Ruby, who had been so kind to her.
Caleb believed Sadie, who went to bed. Will she eventually succeed in her plan to seduce him?
Speaking to Inside Soap about Joe and Sadie's scheming, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said: "I don't think the feud between Caleb and Joe will ever go away! The stakes are far too high – and so much has happened with the rivalry between them.

"What you're seeing now is Joe back to his villainous best, as he's absolutely hellbent on revenge. But of course, all of that is driven by grief and there are moments where we see his vulnerability. We're absolutely with him in understanding it – but not necessarily condoning it!"
She continued: "We've now got a really dangerous combination, with Joe and Sadie joining forces and this partnership.
"Joe alone is already enough of a threat, but when you put him with Sadie, the Miligans have really got a duo there who'll set fireworks off into their life and marriage! That story is going to evolve in the coming weeks and months…"
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
