Angine de Poitrine Debut New Song and New Character at Toronto Show: Watch

Translate

The Angine de Poitrine universe is expanding: during the band’s show at History in Toronto on Thursday, November 5th, they debuted a new song, with a special guest appearing as a new character.

The masked guitarist-drummer duo of Khn and Klek usually perform their raucous, groovy math rock cuts alone, but on Thursday, they introduced a new character clad in their same polka-dotted aesthetic. Their mask was essentially a large box, with two yellow ear-like figures propped up on top; they had a long black nose akin to Khn’s, wide-legged pants, and a distorted alien voice just like Angine de Poitrine’s.

As for their instrument of choice? The new character took to the triangle and even embarked on a rather silly triangle solo. The song overall is yet another showcase of Angine de Poitrine’s hypnotic, captivating rock sound. Fans on reddit speculated that the track will serve as the theme song for a Québécois TV show, though that remains unconfirmed, as does the track’s official name. Watch a fan-captured video of their performance below.

Angine de Poitrine have just begun the latest North American leg of their 2026 tour, which includes some of their largest shows to-date. Up next are sets in Quebec City, Montreal, Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia, Mexico City, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle. They’ll return stateside in spring 2027 for another run of US and Canada shows. Get tickets to see Angine de Poitrine here.
