EUROMATCH NPFL: Sporting Lagos Unveil Four-Man Shortlist For October Player Of The Month Award
Sporting Lagos have announced a four-man shortlist for their Player of the Month award for October, the club confirmed via their official X handle on Tuesday.
The nominees are Victor Clifford, Jacob Aondona, Aliyu Baba and Gafar Olaniyan.
The quartet were instrumental for the Tech Boys in a month that saw the Lagos side stabilize in the NPFL after a mixed September.
In their fixtures in October, Sporting Lagos recorded two wins and one draw.
Clifford has been a constant engine in the middle, dictating play and providing the assist for the winner against Plateau United and Aondona has been in red-hot form in front of goal, scoring twice in October including a crucial equalizer against Kano Pillars.

On his part Baba has been unplayable on the flank, creating the most chances for Sporting Lagos last month while Olaniyan has been a defensive rock.
Fans will vote for their favourite via the club’s official X poll and website, with the winner set to be announced ahead of their Matchday 12 clash this weekend.
Last month, defender Sodiq Ayoade Yusuf won the September award after featuring in every match for Sporting Lagos.
