Four weeks old and already a fairytale character. Roman Augustus McCaffrey spent his first Halloween as a gingerbread man, tucked into the arms of his mother, Olivia Culpo, who had turned herself green for the occasion. Her husband, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, wore an ogre mask beside her. Big sister Colette, 1, played the pint-sized villain Lord Farquaad. Even the family dog joined in. Culpo posted the family portrait on November 1, barely a month after Roman was born on September 29. Her caption was brief, and the pictures did the talking.
Christian McCaffrey Wears The Ogre Mask While Olivia Culpo Plays Princess Fiona
Culpo, a former Miss Universe, committed fully. She wore a mint-tinted complexion, a long braided red wig, a tiara and a square-necked green dress. McCaffrey, 30, stayed in character behind his mask.
The kids got the best details. Roman's caramel onesie had gumdrop buttons and white piping. Colette wore drawn-on black eyebrows, a red cap with attached black hair, a puffed-sleeve red dress and black leather boots. Oliver Sprinkles, the family's toy goldendoodle, took the role of Donkey.
ADORABLE: #49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey and his wife Olivia Culpo went ALL OUT for Halloween dressing their entire family as characters from Shrek. Olivia dressed as Princess Fiona, Christian as Shrek, their little one as Lord Farquaad, their baby as the Gingerbread Man, and their dog joined the fun dressed as Donkey. THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST FAMILY HALLOWEEN COSTUME OF THE YEAR. https://t.co/bcmnf8HPfK

The caption read "Halloween ‘26 Love, the McCaffreys". In one frame, Colette rests her face against her brother's hood. Culpo wrote, "Kisses for baby brother."
Roman Augustus McCaffrey Arrives As Olivia Culpo Admits Motherhood Feels Scary
Culpo announced Roman's birth on October 10 with black-and-white hospital photos and a simple caption: "Roman Augustus McCaffrey". Her Instagram Stories added, "Heart is exploding."
The couple had shared the pregnancy news on her 34th birthday in May, calling it the "best birthday gift." Colette had arrived in July 2025, so the household now holds two kids under two.
Culpo, 34, has been candid about what that means. On The Squeeze podcast last October, she said, "There's totally a shift. Whether or not you want there to be or not, you have somebody that's physically dependent on you. So I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Yeah, it's scary." She also said she leans on McCaffrey as she keeps working.
The family's softer moments sit alongside that honesty. On October 22, Culpo posted a video of Colette cozied up in matching nightwear in a four-poster bed, with Roman beside them in a white onesie. She captioned it, "15 months ago, she made me a mother, now I get to watch her become a big sister.”
