Prashanth Neel confirms Ravi Basrur as music composer for Jr NTR’s ‘Dragon’

Director Prashanth Neel has confirmed that music director Ravi Basrur is composing the music for his upcoming action drama ‘Dragon’, starring Jr NTR. This marks another collaboration between the two artists as the musician is known for his work in Neel’s blockbuster franchise ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar.

’According to a report by IANS, Prashanth Neel was asked by a fan details about who was composing the music for ‘Dragon’, the director replied, “The one and only Ravi Basrur sir.”

What is ‘Dragon’ about?

Talking about the film, ‘Draong’ looks like another action thriller drama with a grand world building Neel is known for his previous projects. The makers announced the title ‘Dragon’ in May and released a glimpse video to mark Jr NTR’s birthday.

The video introduced the actor as Dragon, the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company, one of the two major groups involved in a global opium war.The clip tells how the British came to India to control the opium trade. It explains how the business changed hands after the British left, leading to a conflict between the Afghan Trading Company and the Golden Triangle.

‘Dragon’ introduces Jr NTR as an assassin

Jr NTR’s character name is Luger who is shown as the assassin-in-chief of the Afghan Trading Company.

He has a menacing yet commanding appearance. “When I shut my eyes to sleep, I don't see the faces of the people I have killed. I only see the faces of the enemies remaining. Don't even by mistake appear in my dreams!” he says in the first glimpse.

Cast and release details of ‘Dragon’

The teaser also introduces Anil Kapoor as Raghuveer Rathod, the chief of the Narcotics Bureau, and Biju Menon as Jaleel Rahman, the Afghanistan logistics head.‘Dragon’ was originally scheduled to release on June 25, 2026, but the makers later postponed it to June 11, 2027. The film is set to release in multiple languages.
