EUROMATCH-NPFL: Enyimba Extend Unwanted League Record In Home Defeat To Inter Lagos

Translate

Enyimba extended their unwanted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) record after losing 1-0 to Inter Lagos on matchday 4 fixture in Aba on Sunday.

Ezekiel Moses was the hero for Inter Lagos, as his 19th minute goal was enough to secure the win.

According to Opta Nigeria, the result means Enyimba have now failed to win any of their last nine home league matches they trailed at half time.

The last time the Aba Elephants won after trailing at home at halftime was on July 2021, when they came from behind to beat Jigawa Golden Stars 2-1.

This was Inter Lagos’s first-ever win in the NPFL (and first points of the season after three prior losses).

Enyimba remain winless after three matches (prior losses away to Niger Tornadoes 2-1 and Doma United 2-0), sitting at the bottom of the table with 0 points.
