Rivers 2027: Lawyers endorse Chinda, Jack’s gov ambitions
A group of lawyers in Rivers State has endorsed the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kingsley Chinda and his running mate, Major Jack as their preferred candidates for the 2027 general elections in Rivers State.
Congregating under the aegis of Vanguard of Lawyers for OK Chinda, lawyers said the endorsement followed a careful analysis of Chinda’s record as a federal lawmaker for 16 years and Jack as a state legislator for 12 years.
Chairman of the group, Eberechi Adele, SAN, while announcing the endorsement described Chinda as their ‘own’ being a lawyer and member of the Port Harcourt Bar.
Adele, said Chinda’s constituency projects and his work on public accountability and the environment also informed their decision to endorse the APC candidates.
He said, “Our organization, the Vanguard of Lawyers, will support Kinsley Ogundu Chinda and Jack in the 2027 governorship election.

“Our reasons are his years of legislative service, his experience of parliamentary leadership, his work on public accountability, his background in environmental administration, and the constituency initiatives published under his representation of Obio/Akpor together with a ticket built around cooperation.”
The lawyers noted that the state is endowed with the people, resources and enterprise to achieve more than it has, but only needs continued leadership that can draw those strengths together for the benefit of the state.
The group expressed the optimism that Chinda would draw and Jack would give the state the needed leadership.
Adele explained that the group which cuts across the nine NBA branches in Rivers State including non-indigenes will in the coming days inaugurate its campaign strategies to solicit votes for Chinda and Jack.
