KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark index rising 4.32 points, or 0.26 per cent, to 1,636 points, tracking positive performance on Wall Street.

The index is expected to hover between 1,630 and 1,640 points, with the local bourse potentially ripe for some bargain-hunting activity.

Construction services provider SLGC made its debut on Bursa Malaysia's ACE Market, opening flat at its initial public offering price of 28 sen, with 50.4 million shares changing hands.

Bitcoin was trading at a lower level of RM350,412, while Ethereum also trended lower at RM11,076.
