Jack Black, DMC, Tom Morello, Cypress Hill, Scott Ian, and Chuck D Perform “Walk This Way” at Power to the People Fest
Tom Morello’s Power to the People festival at Merriweather Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, is yielding a number of one-time-only collaborations, including a rendition of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” featuring Jack Black, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Cypress Hill, Tom Morello, Public Enemy’s Chuck D, and Anthrax’s Scott Ian.
The performance featured DMC rapping the verses, as Jack Black led the song’s big chorus, with a scarf-adorned mic stand in a nod to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler.
Earlier in the day, Jack Black teamed up with Tom Morello’s son Roman and Scott Ian’s son Revel for a set as Jack Sabbath, including an appearance by Black Sabbath’s own Geezer Butler for “War Pigs.” Watch the all-star performance of “Walk This Way” below.
