Lady Gaga 'welcomes first child with fiancé Michael Polansky'

The 40-year-old popstar, who did not make a pregnancy announcement to her fans, welcomed her first child this week according to Page Six.

The Born This Way hitmaker has been largely out of the public eye since completing her Mayhem Ball tour in April 2026, sparking widespread fan speculation that she was preparing for motherhood.

Gaga has spoken openly for years about her deep desire to start a family, famously noting in a past interview that becoming a mother would be her "next starring role".

She has reportedly been pictured cradling a newborn baby as she took a stroll with her tech entrepreneur fiancé Michael.

The pair, who first got together in 2019, were introduced through connections with the Born This Way Foundation. They later crossed paths and talked for hours at a birthday party hosted by Sean Parker in Los Angeles.

Their relationship became more intensified when the Covid pandemic hit, prompting them to isolate together at Gaga's home in Malibu. Gaga later noted that spending that extended period together made her realise he was "the one".

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was seen sporting her signature bleach blonde hair, with a loose-fitting cardigan, pyjama trousers and a crop top while cradling the child while out and about in California this week.

Representatives for the singer have yet to comment on the baby announcement.

The gender and name of her baby have not been disclosed.

The popstar previously revealed her family plans in 2025 when speaking to the New York Times.

She said: “I’m excited to be a mom. I used to have a lot of apprehension about it.

“The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing.

“So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most”.

Lady Gaga shot to fame in 2008 with her breakout album The Fame, which featured massive global hits including Just Dance and LoveGame, and she has collaborated with stars including Beyonce, Ariana Grande and Blackpink.

The Grammy-winner also became known for her avant-garde fashion, including a bubble dress, a pyrotechnic bra, and outfits made of meat and caution tape.

She often combines her looks with performance art at red carpet events, such as riding into an award ceremony on a white mechanical horse operated by two people.

Gaga is also an established actress, appearing in shows such as American Horror Story, and she starred in the 2013 action film Machete Kills.

She received an Oscar nod for her role opposite Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born and more recently played one of the leads in Joker: Folie A Deux alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
