EXCLUSIVE: Innovative Artists Entertainment has signed actor Rob Morgan in all areas.
Morgan is best known for his scene-stealing performances in the Oscar-nominated Mudbound, Warner Bros.’ Just Mercy, A24’s The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up, and HBO’s Winning Time, among other projects. He earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Lead and received a Special Jury Award for his leading performance in Bull, a 2019 drama from Annie Silverstein that premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
Seen in seven Sundance films over the last decade, Morgan’s latest, Frank & Louis, is a prison drama where he stars opposite Kingsley Ben-Adir. The film won the Audience Award at this year’s Locarno Film Festival and more recently closed the San Quentin Film Festival.
Earlier this year, Morgan joined the cast of Chicago Fire in a recurring arc as Fire Chief Battalion Chief Andre Hopkins. He also starred opposite Matthew McConaughey in Black Bear’s The Rivals of Amziah King. Up next, he’ll be seen starring alongside Luke Wilson and Vanessa Hudgens in the comedy Mini War. He continues to be represented by Elysian Heights, Fox Rothchild and Bespoke Publicity.
