Talent Agent Matt Shaffer Exits Innovative After Nearly Two Decades

EXCLUSIVE: Matt Shaffer, a talent agent who has been with Innovative Artists Entertainment for nearly 20 years, has exited the firm, Deadline has learned.

Sources described this as a mutual parting of ways. No word yet on Shaffer’s next destination or clients he’ll be bringing with him, but expect more information soon.

With Innovative Artists since May 2007, Shaffer has worked over the years with clients including Abigail Cowen, Sofia Pernas, Jennifer Esposito, Moon Bloodgood, Raoul Trujillo, David Lim, Denim Richards, Lavel Schley, and Aaron Jennings.

Prior to his time at Innovative, he worked as a talent agent at Endeavor for more than five years. He holds a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law and, prior to law school, completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University.

This week, Innovative welcomed actress and singer Tisha Campbell to its roster, as we first reported. The agency recently hired talent agents Amanda Glazer and Brian Sacripanti and promoted Celine Biancardi to the same role.
