Terranigma RPG's Trailer Reveals January 14 Release
Publisher Clear River Games began streaming on Wednesday a trailer for Quintet's 1995 RPG Terranigma, and it reveals that it will release the game for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG on January 14, 2027. The video previews new quality-of-life features, such as an easy-view status window, new controls, aspect ratio selection, arranged mode rebalancing, adjusted difficulty, and boosted magic damage with Magicrocks:
Clear River Games describes the game:
Thematic boldness. Stunning character design. Excellent music. Smooth gameplay. Terranigma had it all... except a modern re-release. Now, the beloved action JRPG classic is back for the first time since 1995!The Earth is a hollow sphere with two sides: an external Lightside and an internal Darkside. In the Darkside village of Crysta, the mischievous Ark lives unaware of the world beyond. But one day, he opens a forbidden door and sets in motion events that will change the world. For decades, Terranigma has captivated players with its emotional story and transformative journey. Now you can (re)experience its magic yourself!
Quintet originally released the game on the Super Famicom console in Japan in 1995. Nintendo released the game on the SNES in English in Europe and Australia. Though the game was planned for release in the United States, Enix's American branch closed before the release.
