One man has died and another is seriously injured after being struck by a car in Brisbane’s inner south.

The two men were struck by the car on Main Street in Kangaroo Point about 2.20am on Saturday, police said.

Emergency services were called to the scene to reports that two men had been located unconscious on the road at the intersection of Baines Street and Main Street.

Police officers performed CPR on one of the men, who had sustained critical injuries, but he died.

The second man also sustained serious injuries. He was taken in a stable condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The alleged driver of the car believed to have struck the men was found a street away on Llewellyn Street.

The 31-year-old Strathpine man is assisting police with their investigations.

Anyone with information about the incident, including relevant CCTV or dashcam vision, is urged to contact police.
