BANGKOK, Sept 30 — Thai Airways International has suspended the acceptance of inbound and outbound cargo at its Suvarnabhumi Airport warehouse for seven days from September 30 to October 6 after flooding disrupted staffing and caused a significant backlog of goods.

The temporary suspension was announced by the airline’s cargo operations division on Tuesday, with Airports of Thailand reporting the notice, The Nation reported.

Thai Airways said flooding had disrupted employees’ journeys to work, leaving some unable to report for duty and creating a manpower shortage that affected warehouse operations.

The staffing shortfall has delayed the release of goods to customers and the transfer of shipments to scheduled flights, the airline said.

The suspension is intended to give the company room to manage the disruption and deploy its available staff and resources more effectively while maintaining warehouse safety and operational efficiency.

Thai Airways said it was working to restore normal cargo services as quickly as possible.

The airline apologised for the inconvenience caused by the suspension and thanked customers for their understanding and cooperation.
