New Skyrim DLC Officially Released By Bethesda And Available Now

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

As the wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 continues, fans are counting their lucky stars that the most "recent" entry in the franchise, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is still keeping them busy courtesy of a dedicated modding community that has single-handedly been keeping the RPG alive for the past decade.

After all, it has been 15 years since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim first launched, and despite the Bethesda RPG being hailed as one of the greatest video games of all time, there is only so many times you can replay it. Luckily, back in 2018, Bethesda announced that The Elder Scrolls 6 was in development, alongside a very brief teaser trailer.

However, the excitement was soon short-lived, as now, after eight years, there is still no sign of the highly anticipated sequel. As such, modders have been working overtime to release new and exciting ways to experience the lands of Skyrim, and one such creation has the Bethesda seal of approval.

As a way of supporting its modding community, Bethesda announced 'Creations', an in-game digital storefront and mod-browsing platform created for some of the studio's biggest games, such as Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Starfield. By working with fans to give some mods an official status, Creations have essentially become known as paid DLC packs and now, Kinggath Creations has received Bethesda's support to bring us three DLCs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PlayStation 5. Now available to purchase, the DLCs include:

  • East Empire Expansion
  • Bards College Expansion
  • Sigil of the Fallen

As Bethesda-supported expansions, each includes brand-new questlines, characters, dungeons, items, spells, and more. Not only that, but these creations by Kinggath even come alongside a fully voice-acted cast.

The trio of DLCs was recently announced over on the official The Elder Scrolls Twitter/X account, with the post reading, "Find

@kinggathcreates #Skyrim Creations (East Empire Expansion, Bards College Expansion, and Sigil of the Fallen) all on PlayStation now! Available discounted in a featured Creator bundle for a limited time."

Unlike mods that you would download from Nexus Mods and Curse Forge, any that you grab from Bethesda Creations will not be free. However, these three additions by Kinggath are available at a discount for a limited time. How limited this will be remains to be seen, but for now, you can purchase all three Creations in a bundle for 1,850 Creation Credits. This equates to around $18 / £15. So, for three expansion-sized DLCs, this is a pretty good deal.

That being said, there is a catch, and that is that you will not be able to explicitly purchase 1,850 Creation Credits. Instead, you will need to spend $20 / £18 for two lots of 1,000 Credits, or even 2,700 Credits for $25 / £22. Typical.

If you are willing to splash the cash and want an excuse to return to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this brand-new mod collection may just be your best bet as we go back to waiting for the mystical The Elder Scrolls VI.
