Angel Studios’ ‘Homestead: The Series’ Sets Season 2 Premiere Date and Cast (Exclusive)
Angel Studios‘ Homestead: The Series is reemerging from its bunker.
Comprised of eight episodes, Homestead: The Series season two will premiere on Nov. 3, The Hollywood Reporter has learned, with episodes rolling out weekly on Thursdays.
Homestead: The Series is the sequel to the 2024 movie Homestead starring Neal McDonough, itself based on the bestselling Black Autumn book series by Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross (the pen name for real-life prepper Jayson Orvis). The story follows ex-Green Beret Jeff Eriksson (Bailey Chase) as he takes a job at an elaborate prepper compound, The Homestead, as the world crumbles. “Forgotten truths emerge as love grows in unexpected places and the community strives to cultivate the land and fend off destruction,” per Angel. This season, warring factions “threaten to drive The Homestead apart.”
Season two sees the return of Chase, Dawn Olivieri, Charles Esten, Jesse Hutch, Kevin Lawson, Manny McCord and Olivia Sanabia. Joining the cast is Betzy Landín as Tanya Grossman and Todd Terry as Richard Thayeas, as well as guest stars David “Diesel Dave” Kiley (Diesel Brothers) as Dave Sparks, and Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) as Kaye Grossman, THR is told.
Homestead: The Series season one is available to stream on Angel.com and the Angel app. Watch the season two trailer below.
About a year ago, Orvis let THR behind the gates of his impressive Utah compound.
Orvis, who says his net income is in the hundreds of millions of dollars, lives on a 300-acre compound in the mountains north of Salt Lake City. It’s ready for End times: Homestead uses Orvis’ house for the interior shots and his land for the exteriors.
In the event of a nuclear apocalypse, you’re going to want to stay on this guy’s good side. Orvis told THR he keeps a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet of 200 “volunteers” invited to his compound to keep our species going in a doomsday scenario.
