‘Yaga’ Trailer Teases Spooky, Steamy Thriller With Carrie-Anne Moss & Hudson Williams

We’re getting an extended look at Yaga in the official trailer for the mystery thriller series ahead of its October 23 premiere on AMC+.

Set to Alanis Morissette’s haunting cover of Donovan’s “Season of the Witch”, the trailer sets up the case of the missing Henry Park (Hudson Williams).

Based on the hit play by KIt Sandler, the thriller reimagines the myth of Baba Yaga, a witch who is known to live in a hut on chicken legs and potentially is a murderous seductress or powerful enchantress, depending on the author of the tale.

The series follows Rapp (Noah Reid), a private investigator who arrives in the small coastal town of Whittock, to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Williams). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.

“Just have a few questions about a student of yours,” Rapp asks Katherine. “What’d you guys talk about?”, he continues. “Eating bones, and a witch named Baba Yaga”, as the footage reveals a quick glimpse of Henry (Williams) and Katherine (Moss) in a seductive embrace. “She lives in a chicken hut and eats kids?” Rapp queries. “Only if they’re very, very naughty,” replies Katherine.

Additional cast includes Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, and Hiro Kanagawa, along with Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal.
