Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has showered praise on 'Dorothy', leaving director Karthik Subbaraj delighted after a detailed discussion about the film. The actor spent around an hour with the filmmaker and cast members Rishikanth and Sananth.The 'Dorothy' director later shared photographs from their meeting on social media, along with the superstar’s reaction to the movie.The director revealed that Rajinikanth appreciated several aspects of the project during their conversation.The 'Petta' director Tweeted, "Thalaivaaaaa.... Rajinikanth praises Sananth’s performance

Sananth also shared his experience of meeting Rajinikanth after the superstar watched 'Dorothy'. The actor previously played Anwar in Rajinikanth’s 'Petta'. According to Sananth, the veteran star was impressed by his challenging role in the latest film.

Rajinikanth reportedly predicted that Sananth would win an award for his performance. The actor shared the praise on X, expressing his excitement about the superstar’s reaction. “Award confirm! Mammootty appreciates 'Dorothy'

Rajinikanth is not the only major star to have expressed appreciation for the movie. Malayalam cinema veteran Mammootty recently watched 'Dorothy' and met Karthik Subbaraj and members of the cast afterwards. Posting a picture with the 'Patriot' actor on social media, Karthik Subbaraj wrote, “Thank you Mammootty sir for your wishes, time and appreciation for Dorothy. You always inspire.”'Dorothy' opened in theatres worldwide on September 25. The film features Keerthy Suresh, Sananth and Rishikanth in prominent roles, with Karthik Subbaraj directing the project.
