Members of PlayStation Plus are getting seven extra free downloads in October 2026 as part of a bonus provided to them via their subscription. Sony’s gaming service is granting players some great freebies this month. The free Essential October games on PS Plus, for example, include F1 2025, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. These three games are being given for free to all members, and they come on top of the additions to the catalog this month for both Extra and Premium subscribers.

Nevertheless, on top of all of that, some members of Sony’s subscription service are also getting access to additional free downloads during the month of October. As was reported by user kabirsingh84 on Reddit, seven extra downloads will become available throughout this month. Two of them will be limited to Premium members, while the other five freebies will be given out to every member currently subscribed to PlayStation Plus. Of course, these offers are limited, so it’s recommended that you move fast to grab them.

According to the report, the bonus downloads for PlayStation Plus in October include full 3-hour game trials for both S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The original post on Reddit mentions that the game trials are only available for members of the Premium tier on PS Plus. Even though these bonus downloads can only be grabbed by members of the highest subscription tier, there are other freebies for members of all categories.

As seen in the post, five avatars from MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls can now be claimed for free, regardless of whether you own the game or not. The only requirement is that you are a member of PS Plus. This free MARVEL Tōkon pack on PS Plus had already been made available back in August, but this is a great chance to pick it up if you missed it the first time around – and, perhaps now, you’re more familiar with the fighting game.

It is worth mentioning, however, that these are just a few of the additional freebies that members of the subscription service are getting this month. There are currently 10 free PS Plus downloads available for members in October, including goodies for Path of Exile and the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV.

The free games offered this month were met with some criticism from members, especially after a last-minute change to the predictions, which included Hello Neighbor. Even so, it does seem like Sony is making a push to satisfy its clients, and these extra freebies on PlayStation Plus are proof.
