Coronation Street's Jodie Ramsey disappears in shock new twist - but it's not over

Coronation Street aired another surprise twist in Jodie Ramsey's storyline tonight, as she recovered from her recent shooting. When Shona Platt went to check on her sister in hospital, she discovered the schemer had gone missing.
The episode began with David and Shona discussing what Jodie had told the police about the incident. David assured his wife that it was just an accident, but Shona was still racked with guilt.

The pair were interrupted by DS Lisa Connor-Swain who asked them to visit the station to go over their statements. However, when they went to see Jodie, she confirmed that she hadn't grassed them up.
Jodie explained that she blamed the shooting on a mysterious burglar, much to Shona's relief. But when David declared that it was "the end" of their relationship with her, Jodie was annoyed.
"I've got nowhere to go. I've got nothing. I've got no one, you know that," she told them.
David was unmoved by her appeal and insisted she wasn't part of their family anymore. However, Shona softened towards her sister and went back to see her.

When she arrived at the hospital, Shona was shocked to find the room empty, with the nurse explaining that Jodie had discharged herself. Where exactly did she go?
While the troublemaker is currently MIA, we do know that she'll be back on the cobbles soon as actor Olivia Frances Brown has signed a contract for another year. Will her return be as dramatic as her arrival? And should David and Shona be looking over their shoulders?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
