November 2026 Video Game Releases: Full List And Highlights

Multiple major video game releases are scheduled for November 2026 as the holiday season draws closer. At the top of almost everyone's list is Grand Theft Auto 6, perhaps the most anticipated video game release of all time, and projected to be so popular that the resulting productivity loss could have devastating effects on the US economy.

While multiple high-profile video game releases were delayed out of November to avoid the oncoming freight train of GTA 6, a few publishers, including fellow industry titan Nintendo, are brave enough to take it on. There are also a few dark horses coming out this month that you may want to keep an eye on.

GTA 6 Is The Biggest Release Of The Year

After 16 years of waiting, two delays, and endless leaks, rumors, and speculation, GTA 6 is finally coming out on November 19, 2026. This is, of course, the follow-up to Rockstar Games' record-breaking 2013 release Grand Theft Auto 5, although it follows a new cast of characters throughout an original story.

GTA 6 stars dual protagonists Lucia and Jason, residents of Vice City (the series' take on MIami, Florida). As they travel the open world, players can choose to keep the two together or split them up, engaging in all manner of crimes, misdemeanors, and side activities like scuba diving. GTA 6 will also employ a reputation system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Of course, there's also the cars; players can steal or purchase a variety of different vehicles, with customization options available for most. Characters are also customizable, with a variety of clothing pieces and hairstyles to select from.

GTA 6 has already caused its fair share of controversy: some fans have raised concerns over its $80 price tag, the exclusive content included in its $100 premium edition, and its lack of a true physical (or PC) release at launch. But it's still expected to sell incredibly well, and, if it lives up to the hype and is truly the groundbreaking next-gen GTA we're all hoping it is, could be the game of the year for 2026.

Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Revives An All-Time Classic

One of few games willing to challenge GTA 6's dominance is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Slated for release on November 5, this is a reimagining of the 1998 game of the same title, a highly influential release that introduced the world to 3D Zelda and can often be found high in the running on lists of the greatest games of all time.

The Ocarina of Time remake incorporates a new control scheme that includes full camera control, button-based jumping, and quick swapping between items. Link can now sprint instead of having to dodge roll everywhere, and there'll be a dedicated jump button instead of a finicky auto-jump system. Cutscenes are also fully voiced in the remake.

At the moment, it's not totally clear just how closely the Ocarina of Time remake will stick to the original version. We do know there are a couple of extras — Amiibo-exclusive in-game masks and the new Threads of Time quest tracking feature, for example — but beyond that, it's anyone's guess.

While some fans have questioned certain aspects of the remake (i.e., the new art style, the change in camera perspective, the need for a quest list, and the need for a remake in general), it's a new game in one of Nintendo's most popular franchises, so obviously, Ocarina of Time is going to be a big deal. It's the must-have Switch 2 game of the season.

World Of Warcraft: Forever Launches This Month

Coming out November 4 is World of Warcraft: Forever, a brand-new MMO set in the world of Azeroth. Conceived as a sort of alternate universe version of the original WoW, Forever will become a permanent, ever-expanding MMO, with regular updates and new content added periodically.

WoW: Forever already features a new race (Skyborn), three new zones, 1,000 new quests, nine new dungeons, a new battleground, two new raids, and lots of other content for players to explore. It's in early access at the moment, with a full launch slated for November 4.
