Ruth Wilson and Harriet Walter set to star in new thriller that's a "chilling tale of obsession"

The Affair's Ruth Wilson and Silo's Harriet Walter are set to team up alongside a star-studded ensemble for a new drama called All She Wants for Christmas. Also featuring newly-minted multiple Emmy winner Matthew Rhys and Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor, the project is an Audible drama.

According to Deadline, the thriller focuses on a successful couple and a colleague of the husband, and is described as a "chilling tale of obsession, ambition, and the dangerous space between truth and fiction".

Rhys's character Fiddy and Wilson's Louise "had the perfect marriage, until Louise became a bestselling author and their world was turned upside down", according to the synopsis.

"Now Louise has the money, the fame, and all the power. Fiddy has his resentments and he also has Kate (Dynevor), his younger ‘office wife’ who makes him feel seen, understood, and appreciated in ways Louise no longer does."

However, Kate "has been watching them both for years" and "knows their secrets, their weaknesses, their breaking points".

"She’s been weaving herself into their lives, one Christmas at a time. Then Louise falls mysteriously ill. A disturbing manuscript arrives at her publisher’s office. And the truth becomes impossible to untangle."

All She Wants for Christmas comes from novelist Lisa Jewell, and is set to be released on the audio streaming service on 2 November.
