News24 | UPDATE | Former deputy national police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya quits
Former deputy national police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya on Monday resigned from the SA Police Service ahead of his disciplinary hearing.
National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said Sibiya’s legal team tendered his resignation the moment his disciplinary proceedings got under way.
“As the former senior officer had an ongoing disciplinary case against him at the time of his resignation, his departure from the service is therefore regarded as a dishonourable discharge.
“The SAPS confirms that Lieutenant General Sibiya’s employment with the service has been terminated with immediate effect,” Mathe said.
