GEORGE TOWN, Oct 30 — The Penang State Legislative Assembly today observed a moment of silence in memory of former Telok Bahang assemblyman Ahmad Radhi Pachee, who died on September 22 at the age of 95.

The tribute honoured the late assemblyman’s service and contributions during his tenure as Telok Bahang representative from 1978 to 1982.

Before proceedings began, Penang Assembly Speaker Datuk Seri Law Choo Kian called on those present to stand and observe a moment of silence.

“I call on everyone present today to stand and observe a minute’s silence,” he said.

The second meeting of the fourth session of the 15th Penang State Legislative Assembly, which began today, will see 74 oral questions, 798 written questions, two motions and five bills tabled.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is also scheduled to table the state’s Budget 2027 at 3pm today. — Bernama
