What time does the iPhone Duo go on sale in the UK? What you can expect from pre-order this Friday

It's no secret that Apple is taking its first foray into foldables this week with the new iPhone Duo.
The tech giant is releasing the device featuring an entirely new bitesize design that "redefines what it means to use a foldable phone,” according to John Ternus, Apple’s CEO.
The phone features Apple's thinnest size yet with a with a 7.6-inch inner display that snaps closed into a 5.4-inch outer display. Much like its estranged cousins, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and the Google Pixel Pro Fold, the foldable phones "offer all the benefits of a tablet with the portability of a smartphone: from the large screen to their multitasking ability, but pocketable and with great smartphone-level cameras." as per Samsung.
However, according to Apple, this new version goes a step further “With the largest display ever on iPhone that still fits easily in your pocket, combined with the power of A20 Pro, iPhone Duo helps you stay more immersed and productive wherever you go, whether you’re enjoying content, multitasking across apps, or gaming.”
So, if you're looking to get your hands on this revolutionary new model, read on to find out the exact date and time of its release, plus all the steps you need to take before you buy.

The device will then be available for general sale from 23 October.

The iPhone Duo starts at £1,999 or £66.63 per month for the 256GB model. This is considerably more than their last high-priced phone, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which starts at £1,299.

Will there be enough stock for the iPhone Duo?
Reports in Tech Times suggest that Apple has already had to increase its production orders for the iPhone Duo by 30% due to the high levels of interest. The company could be producing as high as 10million units by the end of 2026.
So, if interest is this high then you might need to be prepared for stock running low. In that case, we'd suggest keeping an eye on some of the mobile networks selling the phone as well as smaller retailers like Sky and Currys, as they'll be likely to have stock for longer.
