It’s no secret that Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Kim Kardashian‘s daughter is talented and has been making music on her own. While sitting down with Well Well Well host Emwell, she talked about her production process a bit. “Usually, I listen to a lot of music first, and I feel like what type of song I want to do, like what type of beat first,” she said before mentioning the software program she prefers using. “And then I could do like a sample. Usually, doing a sample is so much easier than starting from scratch. I use Ableton, but I used to play on an ASR. I only use Ableton right now.”

Later in the interview, Emwell showed her a Billboard Hip-Hop Instagram post highlighting an article about Ye crediting her for helping him find the love for music again. She shared that she thought the comment was heartfelt, but then remembered that she was in the middle of rap camp when he said it. “When I saw it, I was like, ‘Aw, that’s nice,'” North said. “Well, actually, when he said that, I was going to the studio every day with him. It was like low-key training in Japan. Ugh, oh my gosh, I did the craziest really fast rapping. He was like, ‘Oh, you gotta learn how to do it a cappella,’ and it was just so hard. Oh my gosh, but that’s what got me better, so I’m high-key grateful.”

Emwell then showed her a picture of her Halloween costume back in 2023 when she dressed up like the Graduation bear and asked her favorite song on the album to which she replied, “‘Homecoming,'” and then started to sing the chorus.

And as for her other talents? She can draw on the spot, has been learning how to make wigs and can speak with her mouth closed.
