All Upcoming Guy Ritchie Movies & Shows, Including MobLand Season 3

Cooper Hood is the Associate Editor for all new movie releases, in theaters and on streaming. In addition to writing articles about these titles and upcoming releases, he also oversees content planning for each, ensuring that ScreenRant continues to cover major releases for months after their release.

He has written various reviews for ScreenRant that appear on Rotten Tomatoes, coordinated Oscars and San Diego Comic-Con coverage, appeared on CNN to talk about Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and done select interviews with talent over the years.

Most directors don't stay as busy as Guy Ritchie, but the British filmmaker continues a high output for years to come with all his upcoming movies and shows. He's been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since breaking out in 1998 with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which established his signature quick-moving, funny, action-packed, and crime-heavy style.

Since then, Ritchie made waves by repeatedly partnering with Jason Statham, making Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes franchise, and leading Disney's live-action Aladdin remake to over $1 billion at the box office. He's found great new pairings working with Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal in recent years, as well as taking his talents to streaming.

Whether Ritchie's best movies are flying high at the box office, with critics, or on streaming charts, it is more common than not for them to connect with audiences. It's why every studio and streamer remains eager to work with him, especially after seeing great results from previous collaborations.

That means Ritchie's slate is full of movies and shows he's currently making. Some have already finished filming, while others are in the midst of it, and a few are still working to actually get out of development. His upcoming works range from new seasons of hit streaming shows, new crime thrillers, and more Statham collabs.

7 Wife & Dog (2027)

The next project from Ritchie is an original action thriller, Wife & Dog. The movie was announced in 2024 with the filmmaker directing, writing, and producing through Toff Guy Films, with Black Bear Pictures handling distribution. The movie revolves around a family's fight for power and wealth after its patriarch names an heir.

Wife & Dog's cast is led by Anthony Hopkins as the patriarch, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Rosamund Pike playing his children. Cosmo Jarvis, James Norton, Paddy Considine, and Pip Torrens fill out the ensemble cast.

Wife & Dog has a confirmed release date of February 19, 2027. It will hit theaters exclusively on that date.

6 The Gentlemen Season 3 (TBD)

Ritchie launched one of Netflix's biggest hits in 2024 with The Gentlemen, a series spinning off from the world created in the director's 2019 movie. He executive produced the series, wrote and directed the first two episodes of season 1, wrote every episode and directed three in season 2. Netflix has been so pleased with the results that The Gentlemen season 3 was renewed before season 2 hit the streamer in September 2026.

The Gentlemen season 3's cast is once again led by Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, with Robert Carlyle, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Dexter Fletcher, Bruna Marquezine, and Saffron Burrows among the new additions. It is also confirmed that Daniel Ings will not return for The Gentlemen season 3.

The new season started filming in October 2026. No release date is officially confirmed, but it likely won't be ready until late 2027 or early 2028.

5 Viva La Madness (TBD)

Statham and Ritchie are joining forces again for their new movie, Viva La Madness. The film is an adaptation of J. J. Connolly's novel of the same name, which serves as a sequel to his book Layer Cake that Matthew Vaughn and Daniel Craig adapted in 2004. Statham is taking over the lead role Craig previously portrayed, although Viva La Madness is expected to act as a standalone story rather than a continuation.

Ritchie became attached to Viva La Madness in 2025 after Statham and Connolly spent a decade trying to get a TV adaptation off the ground. He wrote the screenplay and directed the action thriller so it could move forward. The cast includes Jason Isaacs, Babs Olusanmokun, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster, Jonny Lee Miller, Raúl Alejando, and frequent Ritchie collaborator Vinnie Jones.

Filming took place from February to April 2026. Black Bear is once again set to distribute the movie in North America, but no release date has officially been set at this time. Viva La Madness is expected to come sometime in 2027 or 2028.

4 Young Sherlock Season 2 (TBD)

Sherlock Holmes walking on the streets in Young Sherlock season 1

Ritchie's love of Sherlock Holmes led him to help develop a TV series focused on a younger version of Britain's detective for Prime Video. He is an executive producer on the series and directed the first two episodes of season 1. Young Sherlock became so popular on the streamer that Amazon Prime Video renewed it for a second season, with Ritchie returning to direct the first episode.

Young Sherlock season 2 will once again be led by Hero Fiennes Tiffin and see Dónal Finn, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Holly Cattle return. The new additions include Aidan Gillen, Olivia Williams, Indira Varma, and Sophie Skelton. The story will continue the loose threads left by Young Sherlock season 1's ending.

With a quick renewal from Prime Video, Young Sherlock season 2 was able to start filming in summer 2026. No release date has been announced at this time. Given the timetable for season 1 (filmed for seven months, released 13 months after), Young Sherlock season 2 will likely be released on Prime Video in early 2028.

3 MobLand Season 3 (TBD)

Ritchie is partially responsible for Paramount+'s hit crime series MobLand. He's an executive producer on the show, but he also directed the first two episodes of both seasons. Given its wild popularity, MobLand season 3 was confirmed in September 2026, and Ritchie is back to direct the first episode.

The third season will once again revolve around the Harrigan crime family, led by Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine, as well as their fixer, played by Tom Hardy. The latter is returning despite previous reports that he was fired from the series. No new cast members have been announced for MobLand season 3.

The third season does not have a release date set, but filming begins in November 2026. Paramount+ made subscribers wait just over a year from the end of season 1 to the start of season 2, which suggests a 2028 release is most likely for MobLand season 3.

2 Capital (TBD)

Guy Ritchie on the set of Young Sherlock

One of the newest projects Ritchie is lending his talents to is a crime drama series called Capital. The show is in early development at Amazon with Ritchie as the co-writer and co-creator with Rob Williams (The Victim). He is also producing and is expected to direct some episodes of the series once it moves further along.

Plot details for Capital are still mostly under wraps, but it is another London-set crime story for Ritchie. No casting information has come since the series' announcement in July 2026. It's unclear when Capital will come out, but it will extend Prime Video's relationship with Ritchie in a major way after Young Sherlock.

1 Gracie (TBD)

In a break from his usual credits, Ritchie is also attached as an executive producer for an upcoming sports documentary, Gracie. Announced in 2023, the ESPN Films docuseries will explore the lives of the Gracie family, who are credited as the founders of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

There hasn't been much news on Gracie in the three years since it was revealed. Gracie family member and UFC co-founder Rorion Gracie confirmed in 2025 (via BJJEE) that he had already been interviewed and filmed for the documentary, confirming that it has made significant progress and hasn't fallen by the wayside.

It's unclear when and where Gracie will be released. If production has gone smoothly, it could finally come out sometime in 2027 or 2028.

Guy Ritchie Movies In Development Hell

Sherlock Holmes 3: Warner Bros. has made multiple attempts to develop Sherlock Holmes 3 with Downey Jr. reprising the lead role, but those efforts have gone nowhere so far. The sequel could still happen, even if Ritchie only winds up with a producer credits instead of directing it.

Aladdin 2: After the $1 billion success of the 2019 remake, Disney put an Aladdin sequel into development in 2020. So far, the movie has yet to be made, even though Ritchie told Collider in 2023 that he remained interested in returning to Agrabah to make Aladdin 2.

Hercules: It was announced in 2022 that Ritchie set his sights on a different Disney live-action remake and was poised to direct a new take on Hercules, with the Russo brothers producing. Four years later, the project has not made any significant strides, making it unclear if Guy Ritchie will ever direct this one.
