Hiking routes in Paran Regional Brigade sector opens to hikers during holidays, IDF announces

To enter the routes, you must present an ID card and register at the entrance; no prior coordination is required. 

Route 10 in the Paran Regional Brigade sector near the western border will open to hikers for the holidays, starting on Friday, the IDF announced.  

For Rosh Hashanah, the route will open between Ezuz and Har Harif from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday and between the Bar-Lev Lookout and the 10/12 Checkpoint from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 

For the Sukkot holiday, the route between Ezuz and Har Harif will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on September 25. Additionally, the area from the Bar-Lev Lookout to the 10/12 Checkpoint will be open from 8:30 am to 4:00 p.m. from September 26 to October 3.

Training exercises to continue in the south and north

The IDF emphasized that training exercises in live-fire zones in the south and the north will continue over the weekends, and those areas will remain closed to hikers. 

The public is urged to avoid restricted areas to allow security forces to continue carrying out their missions.
