"Nowhere To Be Found": Star India Bowler's Confidence 'Spoilt' After 2nd T20I

Translate

India lead the three-T20I series against West Indies 2-1, with the fourth T20I scheduled to take place on Wednesday in Hyderabad. The matches have been pretty high-scoring, but what happenned in the second T20I in Ranchi was unmatches. India scpred 249/5 batting first, West Inies reached the target in 18.3 overs. Kuldeep Yadav conceded 53 runs in that match. Kuldeep Yadav did not play the third T20I and 1983 World Cup winner Krishnamachari Srikkanth feels the seond T20I dented his confidence.

"It's good to see Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav be developed, and both are bowling well. How long can India keep relying only on Bumrah? But they've spoilt Kuldeep Yadav's confidence. Because he was smashed in the second game, he was nowhere to be found for the third match," Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.

Mayank Yadav, who is back after a long injury layoff, has taken four wickets in three matches. Prince Yadav, on the other hand, has also shown consistent growth in the matches where he has got opportunities.

Overall, Srikkanth was disappointed that the Indian cricket team lost the second T20I even after scoring 249 in the first innings.

"There is no way India should have lost to this West Indies side after scoring 249 in the second T20I. West Indies are a terrible team. Just that, they've depth in batting. They've some power hitters, but their bowling is horrible. They are just managing with Roston Chase in the bowling department," said Srikkanth.

"Suddenly India's middle-order looks shaky, and it's boiling down to Abhishek Sharma having to score runs for them to win. But this West Indies bowling is abysmal. This Springer has no spring and is only a rod. Yet, India are giving wickets to such a bowler. West Indies' pace attack is very ordinary."
