Brightstar Lottery PLC (BRSL) announced on Tuesday that it had signed a two-year contract extension with the New York State Gaming Commission through its Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation subsidiary. The contract is for Brightstar (BRSL) to continue providing lottery technology and services in the State of New York.

"Brightstar is dedicated to continue fulfilling our contractual obligations through this two-year contract extension and supporting the New York Lottery's successful track record serving New York public schools," stated Scott Gunn, Brightstar Chief Operating Officer, North America Lottery.

Under the earlier extensions, the company has supplied the lottery's central system, a claims and payments system, retailer training, field services, call center support, and instant ticket warehousing and distribution, and it has served the New York Lottery since 1986.

Shares of Brightstar Lottery (BRSL) were up 2.3% in premarket action on Tuesday.
