Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, who was rested for the one-off Test against Afghanistan, was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the first Test against West Indies on Friday.

Bangladesh will play a two-match Test series against West Indies, with the first Test set to take place from October 28 to November 1 in Dhaka.

Taskin is not the only Bangladeshi player who will be returning to action. Regulars Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who were sidelined with injuries, have also been included in the squad. Litton missed the ODI tri-series in UAE with a hip injury, while Mehidy was out with viral fever.

Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the 15-member squad, which also features veteran Mushfiqur Rahim.
