5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as special Jodie episode changes everything

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (8 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Jodie takes centre stage as a dramatic episode focuses entirely on the climax of her storyline.

With Shona ready to confront Jodie – and secrets about to be exposed – the stakes couldn't be higher as a weapon is drawn and someone's life hangs in the balance.

Read on for five big moments from Thursday's episode…

1. An ominous flashforward

Thursday's Corrie opens with a flashforward scene showing a glimpse of the near future.

The Platt house is a scene of chaos, with someone's belongings scattered around the floor – and a paramedic tending to a casualty.

We then go back in time to see how events got to this point…

2. Bethany starts to lose patience

Bethany pays a visit to No.8 following her decision to tip off Shona about Jodie's unstable behaviour.

She's frustrated to see that Jodie is still firmly embedded in the Platt house. Have all of Bethany's efforts to expose Jodie's true colours really come to nothing?

3. Jodie finally makes her move

After Bethany leaves, Jodie enjoys every moment of her time alone with David and goes all-out to seduce him.

With Jodie finally being open about her intentions, David learns that she's had her eye on him for quite some time. Will he be tempted, or do his loyalties still lie with Shona?

4. Shona arrives

Shona bursts through the door just as Jodie seems determined to get up close and personal with David.

Shona's shocked by the extent of Jodie's betrayal – and as accusations fly, several secrets are exposed.

5. A gunshot is fired

With Jodie determined to stay in control of the tense situation, she brings out her hidden gun and points it at Shona and David.

The couple are convinced it's a replica, since Jodie has made a similar move before, but the situation soon descends into chaos and someone is shot!

Who's left in peril?

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
