When will the Springboks play the All Blacks again?

Translate

The inaugural Greatest Rivalry series is officially over, bringing an end to weeks of camaraderie and fierce competition between the All Blacks and the Springboks.

WHEN WILL THE SPRINGBOKS AND ALL BLACKS PLAY EACH OTHER AGAIN?

Despite winning the Greatest Rivalry series 3-1, the Springboks could face the All Blacks again, as soon as November, when the Nations Championship’s finals weekend takes place.

In November, the All Blacks play Scotland, Wales and England, while the Springboks face Italy, France and Ireland.

The Springboks and All Blacks are currently 1st and 2nd in their respective pools; however, that could change, as the November fixtures will decide where each team finishes. If both the Springboks and the All Blacks top their pool, they could meet in Twickenham for the final.

If they both finish in second place, they could play for the 3rd and 4th positions.

COULD THEY CROSS PATHS AT THE RUGBY WORLD CUP?

The Springboks could also cross paths with the All Blacks at the Rugby World Cup, which will take place in Australia next year.

The two sides have not been drawn to play each other in the pool stage. However, if both teams progress as expected, South Africa and New Zealand could meet in the quarter-finals.

The next Greatest Rivalry series will take place in four years, in 2030.
