Defending champion Rory McIlroy is among golf's global stars teeing off at the Irish Open this weekend.

The DP World Tour event has attracted a star-studded field, including Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed, Bob MacIntyre and Brooks Koepka.

The tournament is being held at the Trump International Golf Links Ireland in Doonbeg and the American president is set to make an appearance over the weekend.

Many of the big dogs struggled in blustery conditions on Thursday but will hope to fight back and challenge for the title – and the winner's share of the $6 million prize pot.

UK viewers can tune in for extensive coverage throughout the Irish Open and for Sunday's deciding round.
