5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Jodie torments Shona with sinister plan

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (17 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Jodie unleashes her shocking new plan to make Shona doubt her own sanity. Will she succeed in pushing her sister out of the picture?

Meanwhile, Bethany's new romance begins, and Ross deceives Tyrone as he tries to make amends.

1. Jodie uses secret recordings to torment Shona

David takes Shona out for a romantic lunch, hoping to get their home life back on track, but Jodie makes sly digs about her sister's appearance to dent her confidence.

When the Platts later return and Shona heads inside the house first, Jodie slyly plays her recording of baby Harper's loud cries via a Bluetooth speaker. As Shona freaks out and David rushes in, Jodie suddenly presses 'stop' on the recording. Will she succeed in making Shona think she was hearing things?

2. Bethany enjoys a date with Ryan

Bethany takes a leap of faith by heading out on a date with Ryan. She's even encouraged by Kit, who reckons Ryan is a nice guy and she should go for it.

Later, Bethany is charmed by Ryan's funny stories at the Rovers and she leans in for a kiss. Can they make things work – or will Bethany and Kit's scandalous secret cause problems in the long run?

3. Ross tries to manipulate Tyrone

Ross apologises to Tyrone after making offensive remarks about men who are in abusive relationships. Tracy and Ken also have their say, noting that Ross has a lot of making up to do after upsetting his son.

Once alone with Tyrone's son Dorin, though, Ross makes further jibes which make it clear that he hasn't learned his lesson at all…

4. Summer and Asha face romantic setbacks

Summer goes on a date with cheeky chappy Marco, but when she tries to lean in for a kiss and he hurries off, she's left confused by his mixed messages.

Asha also feels uneasy when she learns that she'll be seeing much less of Sienna at work. As Sienna has reported their recent romantic connection, she'll no longer be serving as Asha's mentor.

5. Glenda sees a bright future for Susie

Susie sneakily uses the pub's socials to post a video of her dancing and singing.

Ben and Maggie are both concerned about the potential risks of online attention, but Glenda gets excited and suggests that Susie would be an ideal new recruit for Little Big Shotz.
