Netflix Developing ‘Diablo’ Animated Series

The Diablo video game is coming to Netflix.
Blizzard Entertainment chief Johanna Faries revealed at BlizzCon in Anaheim Saturday that the streamer is adapting the game as an animated series.
Here’s the description of the project, per Variety: “After decades of bringing entire universes to life through our games, we’re partnering with some creative powerhouses to tell even more stories beyond gaming across new screens. A new animated series set in the world of ‘Diablo’ is in development with Netflix. More details will be shared in the future, but this is only the beginning, with even more taking shape across our universes.”
BlizzCon is a fan event staged by Blizzard, the video game developer behind such titles as World of Warcraft, Overwatch, StarCraft and Diablo.
Diablo made its original debut in 1996. There have since been three other editions released in 2000, 2012, and 2023. Blizzard also announced that Diablo V will bow in the spring of 2029.
